ELearning Options for HealthCare and Beyond 

The purpose of this demonstration is to understand e-learning and its relationship to various industries, particularly medical coding. This will be accomplished through a review of e-learning options and a presentation of relevant research.

By the end of the presentation participants will be able to:

1. Define e-learning options 

2. Understand the e-learning process and ways to evaluate user outcomes

3. Describe risk and benefits associated with e-learning

4. Understand the application of e-Learning and how it relates to the medical coding field

Presenter-Loretta Lathon holds two certifications from the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder and a Certified Professional Coder. She completed her Advanced Medical Coding program at Norfolk State University and has over 20 years experience in the hospital insurance and coding field. She is the owner of RecorMed Coding, LLC. RecorMed provides coding, auditing and training to providers (physicians, nurse practitioners) to ensure clinical documentation accuracy, yielding maximum reimbursement.
